Select this option to identify the categories of files to back up. This option allows you to select the file type to back up instead of selecting the individual files to back up. For example, you can choose to back up all picture files, all document files, and all video files.

This process can take up to 30 minutes to complete depending on the amount of files. Do not interrupt the process of the backup creation. If you have files in unsupported format, perform a backup of these files individually. Confirm that the backup tool supports the format of the files you are trying to backup, then click OK. Make sure the boxes for the categories of files you want to back up are selected, and then click Next. Figure : File backup. If you have a lot of files, select Compression to reduce file size or select No compression for not changing the size of your backup files, and then click Next.

Click the Help button to verify that the format of your files is compatible with Backup tool.
